Miami, FL (Basketball News) - Richard Hamilton scored 17 points and Tayshaun Prince added 16, as the Detroit Pistons ended Miami’s franchise-record 18-game home winning streak with an 80-72 victory at AmericanAirlines Arena. Ben Wallace had 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Central Division-leading Pistons, who have won six in a row and are second in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Miami played without All-Star center Shaquille O’Neal for the third straight game. O’Neal, who is averaging 23 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, is sidelined with a stomach ailment and viral infection. O’Neal could play in Thursday’s game at Philadelphia.

Indianapolis, IN (Basketball News) - Michael Sweetney’s putback at the buzzer in overtime lifted the New York Knicks past the Indiana Pacers, 113-112, at Conseco Fieldhouse. Jamal Crawford had 32 points for New York, which snapped a season-high nine-game losing streak. Reggie Miller, in his final game against the Knicks, poured in 34 points for Indiana, which had a six-game winning streak stopped and lost for just the second time in its last 10 contests. The Pacers, who had a nine-game home winning streak against New York halted with the loss, slipped into a tie with the idle Washington Wizards for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - Kenny Thomas poured in a career-high 32 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Los Angeles Lakers, 124-105, at ARCO Arena. Mike Bibby contributed 24 points and eight assists for Sacramento, which has won three in a row and seven of its last 10 contests. The Kings moved 1 1/2 games ahead of idle Houston for the fifth spot in the Western Conference playoff race. Kobe Bryant paced Los Angeles with 18 points to go along with six assists Caron Butler netted 17 points and Chucky Atkins chipped in 15 points and nine assists for the Lakers, who have dropped 14 of their last 16 games.

New Orleans, LA (Basketball News) - Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers over the New Orleans Hornets, 90-81, at New Orleans Arena. Damon Stoudamire added 19 points and nine assists and Ruben Patterson had 16 points for the Blazers, who ended a seven- game losing streak. Lee Nailon had 20 points to lead the Hornets, who have lost three straight overall. P.J. Brown added 14 points and six boards as New Orleans has dropped eight in a row at home.

Final Score: Memphis 102, Charlotte 95

Memphis, TN (Basketball News) - Shane Battier poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Memphis past Charlotte, 102-95, at FedExForum. Mike Miller netted 21 points, while Pau Gasol and Lorenzen Wright each had 16 points for Memphis, which has won three straight and six of 10. Wright finished with 10 rebounds in the win. The Grizzlies remain in eighth place in the Western Conference playoff race 4 1/2 games ahead of idle Minnesota. Brevin Knight led the way for the Bobcats with 22 points and 10 assists. Charlotte has now lost eight straight after winning two consecutive. Emeka Okafor tallied 19 points and was a lion on the boards, pulling down a game- high 18 rebounds.

Final Score: San Antonio 136, Golden State 134 (2-OT)

Oakland, CA (Basketball News) - Tony Parker scored a career-high 35 points and hit the go-ahead basket with 2.9 seconds remaining in the second overtime, lifting the San Antonio Spurs to a 136-134 win over the Golden State Warriors at The Arena. Parker also dished out 12 assists and grabbed six rebounds for the Spurs, who also won a 2-OT game on Saturday night against the Clippers in Los Angeles. Nazr Mohammed added 19 points and 15 rebounds for San Antonio, which moved within one-half game of the Phoenix Suns for the best record in the Western Conference. Baron Davis scored 32 of his 38 points after halftime for the Warriors, who had their longest winning streak in 14 years come to an end at eight straight. Jason Richardson added 23 points for Golden State, which is out of playoff contention but was still the hottest team in the league.
