According to the San Antonio Express-News, the deal cannot become official until the new collective bargaining agreement between the NBA and its players’ union becomes official.
Horry’s agent, Robert Barr, told the Express-News that Horry will sign the contract as soon as he is allowed.
A 12-year veteran, Horry became the NBA Finals all-time leader in three-point field goals made on the Spurs most recent run to the title. This coming season will be his third with San Antonio.
The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks had courted Horry this past week, but according to Barr, "Big Shot Bob" is extremely happy with his situation in San Antonio.
Horry, who will turn 35 this August, averaged six points per game this past season.
