(Basketball News) - Antoine Walker will make his return to Dallas tonight, as the Atlanta Hawks enter the Lonestar State to take on the Mavericks at AmericanAirlines Center.
Walker, which spent just one season in Dallas and then was dealt to Atlanta for Jason Terry, posted a career-low 14 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Mavs last season. The Mavericks played him a career-low 34.6 minutes per contest.
Atlanta has lost four straight and 14 of its last 16 overall, including a 100-84 loss to Portland on Friday night. Rookie Josh Smith led five Atlanta players in double figures with a career-high 14 points.
Tony Delk, Kenny Anderson and Walker added 13 points apiece in the loss for the Hawks. Al Harrington tacked on 10 points for Atlanta, which shot just 36 percent from the field in the defeat.
Atlanta hit just 4-of-17 (.235) from three-point range and only 16-of-27 (.593) from the free throw line. The Hawks also committed 20 turnovers in the contest.
The Hawks have been pretty bad on the road this year, winning just twice in 10 contests.
Atlanta has actually won the last two meetings in the series on the heels of dropping the previous nine tilts. The Hawks have registered wins in six of their last 11 in Dallas.
