Atlanta Hawks Team Report - December 5

(Basketball News) - The Atlanta Hawks were embarrassed by the New Jersey Nets on Saturday evening at the Meadowlands. Eric Williams had 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting to lead the Nets to a 109-88 victory.

Antoine Walker and Al Harrington each had 17 points to pace the Hawks, losers of nine straight contests. Atlanta’s current losing streak is its longest since the franchise dropped 10 in a row from February 20-March 9, 2001.

Walker added seven rebounds and four assists, but committed five of Atlanta’s 15 turnovers. Boris Diaw and Tony Delk each added 13 points.

The Hawks begin a two-game homestand against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night at Philips Arena.
