Atlanta Hawks Team Report - November 6 11.6.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Atlanta Hawks were crushed by the Seattle SuperSonics, 106-85, on Sunday at KeyArena.
Antoine Walker led the way for the Hawks with 24 points and eight boards. Al Harrington had 14 points on a dismal shooting night (6-of-20) as Atlanta has dropped its first two games of the season.
A driving lay-in by Rashard Lewis kicked off a 14-2 run over the last four- plus minutes of the third period that turned a three-point advantage into a comfortable 79-62 margin. Ray Allen finished the quarter with a layup at the buzzer to make it 79-64, but Vladimir Radmanovic continued the rally with a three to open the fourth.
The Hawks couldn’t get back into it against the SuperSonics, as they were outscored 24-21 from that point on en route to the loss.
Atlanta is off until Sunday when they visit Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Last season, the teams split a pair of games as both squads picked up home victories.
