NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Golden State

Oakland, CA (Basketball News) - Kobe Bryant poured in 38 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists, as the Los Angeles defeated the Golden State Warriors, 110-104, at The Arena.

Smush Parker complemented Bryant with 24 points, 12 boards and six assists for Los Angeles, which won its second straight contest.

Kwame Brown notched a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards, while Chris Mihm added 12 points and pulled down six rebounds in the victory.

Baron Davis tallied a triple-double with 24 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds and Jason Richardson scored a team-high 37 points in the loss.

Mike Dunleavy contributed 13 points and Troy Murphy donated 12 for Golden State, which has lost five straight games.

The game’s final five minutes belonged to Bryant.

The star guard scored the Lakers final 10 points to keep Los Angeles in front down the stretch. He drained a turnaround jumper to give the Lakers a 102-96 edge with 4:26 remaining, then after a Davis free throw Bryant buried another jumper.

Richardson’s jump shot with 2:49 left got the Warriors within 104-100, but Bryant drained a jumper and made a driving layup to increase the edge to eight with 1:17 on the clock.

Golden State would not quit, as Davis slashed into the lane for a layup and Adonal Foyle made a bank shot from the right block to trim the deficit to 108-104 with 32 ticks left. Parker then missed two free throws, but both Derek Fisher and Richardson missed open three-point attempts on the next possession.

Bryant made two free throws in the closing seconds to cap the scoring.

The Lakers led 34-28 after one quarter, but Golden State fought back to grab a 60-59 lead at the half. Los Angeles seized a one-point lead, 85-84, after three quarters.

The Lakers are 11-9 on the road this season...Golden State is 9-10 at The Arena in Oakland. The Warriors have lost seven of their last eight at home...Golden State shot 31.3 percent from three-point range...Los Angeles made 20-of-25 free throws...The Lakers have won 10 of the last 14 meetings.
