On Tuesday, Paul Pierce poured in 27 points to lead Boston past Atlanta, 98-94, at Philips Arena.
Ricky Davis added 21 points and eight rebounds for the Celtics, who put an end to a three-game losing streak. Delonte West added 15 points, eight boards and seven assists while Mark Blount also scored 15 points in the win.
Boston, which last won two in a row from December 19-21, is just 1-12 following a win this season.
Raef LaFrentz started at power forward but played just eight minutes. Brian Scalabrine is starting to get the bulk of LaFrentz’ action and played a season-high 28 minutes Tuesday. Both of his baskets came in the fourth quarter.
The Celtics, who close their trip in Detroit on Monday, are 4-13 away from home this season.
Boston defeated the Sixers earlier in the season and has won two straight and five of the last eight meetings. The Celtics have also won two of three and three of their last five in Philly.
