Williams, 6’3", missed Chicago’s first 11 games with a strained left hamstring. The three-year veteran out of Illinois has played in 77 games with career averages of 3.2 points and 2.0 assists.
Williams joined the Bulls on August 5, as part of a six-player trade with the New York Knicks. The Bulls also acquired Dikembe Mutombo, Othella Harrington and Cezary Trybanski for Jamal Crawford and Jerome Williams.
To make room on the roster for Williams, guard Jannero Pargo (left hamstring strain) was placed on the injured list. The 6-1 Pargo has appeared in just two games for Chicago this season.
The Bulls host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
