Celtics activate Gugliotta from IL

Boston, MA (Basketball News) - The Boston Celtics activated Tom Gugliotta from the injured list Thursday after the forward missed eight games with a mild right ankle sprain.

Gugliotta, who also spent five games on the IL in November with lower back pain, is averaging 1.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in eight games this season.

In a related move, the Celtics placed forward Justin Reed on the injured list again with right infrapetella tendinitis.

Reed, the 40th overall selection in this year’s NBA Draft, has scored six points in seven games this season. He was activated from the IL on December 15.
