=== Chicago Bulls Team Report - February 29 ===

(Basketball News) - Jamal Crawford poured in 27 points and Eddy Curry added 26, as Chicago edged Golden State in overtime, 87-81, on Saturday at the United Center.

Curry also grabbed 14 rebounds while Kirk Hinrich posted his first career triple-double for the Bulls, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Hinrich ended with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Bulls seized an 81-78 lead on consecutive Crawford jump shots, the last coming with 2:44 left in overtime, but Brian Cardinal answered with a three- pointer at the other end to tie the game.

Curry made 1-of-2 free throws with 1:13 left in the extra period to give the Bulls an 82-81 lead and he added a jump hook with 38.5 seconds remaining to stretch the advantage to three. Nick Van Exel then missed a three-pointer and Crawford grabbed the board and was fouled with 28.3 seconds left.

Crawford made one free throw to extend the lead to 85-81 and after Jason Richardson missed a pair from the line, Kendall Gill sealed the win by making two foul shots in the waning seconds for the final margin.

Hinrich has scored in double digits in seven straight games, and is averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists in that span. Curry, meanwhile, is averaging 18.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in his last 11 contests.

With the win, just Chicago’s fourth in its last 11 at home, the Bulls improved to 11-20 in its gym this season.

Prior to the game the Bulls placed forward Corie Blount on the injured list with a left knee sprain.

Elsewhere on the injury front, Jerome Williams missed the game with a knee injury, but is expected to be back in the lineup on Monday when the Bulls welcome LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to town.

Chicago has split its two meetings with the Cavs this season, but cold the advantage on Monday, as the home team in this series has won nine of the last 13 meetings. Cleveland has also lost four of its last six in the Windy City.

The Bulls, though, are just 2-7 in games played on Monday this season.
