(Basketball News) - LeBron James poured in a game-high 19 points and Jeff McInnis scored 18 as the Cleveland Cavaliers routed the Charlotte Bobcats, 106-89, on Thursday at the Charlotte Coliseum.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas netted 16 and Ira Newble chipped in 11 for Cleveland, which has won five straight and improved to 5-3 on the season. The win puts the Cavaliers two games over .500 for the first time since 1999.
James finished the game 8-of-14 shooting from the field and also dished out nine assists to go along with his six rebounds. With the game out of hand he sat out the entire fourth quarter.
Guard Eric Snow finished with five points and seven assists in Thursday’s win for Cleveland, which shot 6-of-8 from beyond the arc,
After eight games, James is averaging 27.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists, while Ilgauskas has registered 19.5 points and 8.3 boards per contest.
The Cavaliers host the Bobcats on Saturday in the second of a home-and-home set.
