Carter out as coach at Texas-San Antonio 03.21.2006

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - The University of Texas-San Antonio fired head men’s basketball coach Tim Carter on Tuesday.
Carter compiled a 160-152 record in 11 seasons as head coach of the Roadrunners. UTSA was 11-17 overall, including a 6-10 mark in the Southland Conference this past season.
The Roadrunners reached the NCAA Tournament under Carter in 1999 and 2004.
Carter’s career coaching record stands at 171-168. He was head coach at Nebraska-Omaha for one season before being hired by UTSA in 1995.
