(Basketball News) - Al Harrington came off the bench to score 24 points and pull down six rebounds, as the Indiana Pacers used a huge third quarter to blow out the Phoenix Suns, 101-79, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Reggie Miller scored 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range and Ron Artest added 14 points and seven assists. Jermaine O’Neal had a quiet night with 13 points and seven assists, but the Pacers still easily managed to snap their two-game skid.
Jamaal Tinsley was benched for the first 6:15 and fined because he was late to the morning shootaround. Head coach Rick Carlisle said Tinsley was up late dealing with a family matter and overslept. Tinsley had eight points and eight assists.
The Pacers wore throwback jerseys from their 1971-72 and ’72-73 ABA championship teams.
Indiana, which will also welcome Boston and the LA Lakers to town on its current stand, has won seven of its last eight at home and is 18-5 in its arena this season.
