James out for Cavs

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - Cleveland Cavaliers guard LeBron James is expected to miss Friday night’s game at the New York Knicks due to a sprained left ankle.

James suffered the injury early in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s win over Memphis when he landed on the foot of the Grizzlies’ Dahntay Jones. Tests on the ankle Thursday revealed no further damage and the All-Star was listed as a game-time decision.

James, who is averaging 27.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 9.2 assists in his last nine games, is scoring an average of 25 points, dishing out 7.6 assists and grabbing 7.4 rebounds per game this season.
