Knicks sign Butler for remainder of season

New York, NY (Basketball News) - The New York Knicks have signed center Jackie Butler for the remainder of the seasons, the team announced Sunday.

The 19-year-old Butler played in 40 games for the Great Lakes Storm of the Continental Basketball Association. The 6-10, 250-pound center was averaging 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.45 blocks this season.

Butler, who played high school basketball at Coastal Christian Academy in Virginia Beach, VA, was an undrafted early entry candidate for the 2004 NBA Draft.
