Lakers’ Medvedenko activated

Medvedenko, who did not see action in the loss, missed the Lakers’ first five contests due to a bruised right heel. The 6’10" Ukrainian posted career- highs with 8.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game with Los Angeles a year ago and was re-signed to a two-year contract during the offseason.

To make room on the 12-man roster, the Lakers placed forward Jumaine Jones on the injured list. Jones suffered a strained right calf during second-half warmups of Tuesday’s 106-98 win at New Orleans.

Jones averaged 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds during the first five games and netted nine points in just 12 minutes during the first half against the Hornets.
