(Basketball News) - Kobe Bryant collected 24 points, six assists and five rebounds, as the Los Angeles Lakers rolled to a 106-90 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday at Staples Center.
Caron Butler scored 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Chris Mihm contributed 19 points and 10 boards for Los Angeles, which halted a two-game skid. Lamar Odom had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Butler appeared to injure his ankle early in the fourth quarter, but remained in the game. The Lakers have captured nine of the last 13 meetings overall between the two teams and 13 of their last 15 at home versus the Hawks
Jumaine Jones ended with 11 points and five rebounds in the win for the Lakers, while teammate Tierre Brown scored 13 points.
Bryan has averaged 28.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the Lakers first four games of the season.
The Lakers are off until Tuesday when they start a four-game road trip against Baron Davis and the New Orleans Hornets. Last season, the Lakers and Hornets split a pair of games. LA will also visit the Memphis Grizzlies, Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets on the road swing.
