The deal was made official by the Magic during their battle with the Miami Heat on Wednesday. Cato, who was on the bench in street clothes due to injury, was removed from the bench midway through the third quarter.
The seven-foot Milicic was drafted second overall in the 2003 draft and has seen limited action in his time with the Pistons. In 25 games this season, Milicic has scored 1.5 points per game, averaging just 5.6 minutes per game.
For his career, the Serbian forward/center is averaging 1.6 PPG with 1.2 rebounds per contest in 96 games (two starts).
The Pistons selected Milicic with the lottery pick they received from Memphis in a 1997 trade for Otis Thorpe.
Arroyo has appeared in 50 games with Detroit this season and is averaging 6.4 PPG with 3.1 assists per contest.
Cato, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, has played in 23 games this season for Orlando, averaging 3.8 PPG with 2.7 boards per contest. The nine-year veteran has also spent time with Portland and Orlando and has career averages of 5.6 PPG and 5.5 rebounds per game.
