(Basketball News) - Bonzi Wells scored 17 points and Pau Gasol added 15, as the Memphis Grizzlies extended their franchise-record winning streak to eight games with a 106-88 victory over Denver at the Pyramid.
Memphis, which also set a franchise record with its seventh straight home win, added to the team record for victories in a month (10) and overall wins before the All-Star break.
The Grizzlies (25-18) are already within three wins of tying the team mark for most victories in an entire season. They had seven scorers in double figures.
Memphis is seven games above .500 for the first time in team history and is 14-12 against the Western Conference this season.
Forward Shane Battier sat out with a rib injury and is listed as day-to-day. It was just the second game that Battier has missed this season, the other being a Nov. 8 date at Utah when he sat out because of a sore right knee.
Memphis returns to action on Wednesday against Portland.
