(Basketball News) - Milwaukee, which has lost five in a row, plays the final contest of its four-game road trip tonight against Phoenix. On Tuesday, as the Bucks fell to the Los Angeles Lakers, 100-96, at the Staples Center.
Desmond Mason was a scorching 12-for-16 from the field for 26 points against the Lakers, but it was not enough to prevent the Bucks from their fifth straight defeat. Mike James netted 18 points and dished out a personal-best 11 assists in a losing cause. All-Star Michael Redd was held to just six points on 1-of-8 shooting in 30 minutes.
Mason has scored in double-digits in eight straight games. He is averaging 17.8 points and four rebounds in Milwaukee’s nine contests this season.
The Bucks are 0-6 on the road this season.
Last season, the Bucks and Suns splits a pair of contests. Overall, Phoenix has won eight of the last nine meetings in this series.
