Phoenix, AZ (Basketball News) - Steve Nash had 25 points and 12 assists as the Phoenix Suns crushed the Los Angeles Clippers, 126-95, at the US Airways Center.
Boris Diaw had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists , James Jones had 17 points and Shawn Marion added 14 points and 12 boards for the Suns, who have won their last two games.
"We had a great game," said Suns coach Mike D’Antoni. "When you combine our offense and the defense we had tonight, which was superb, things are going to go well."
Raja Bell chipped in with 16 points for Phoenix, which has won six of its last seven games against the Clippers.
Elton Brand and Corey Maggette each had 18 points and Sam Cassell added 14 points for the Clippers, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
The Suns dominated this game from start to end.
Phoenix started out the first quarter with a 24-4 run capped off by a Nash jumper with 5:20 left. The team had a 36-22 lead going into the second quarter.
It was a high scoring second stanza with a total of 69 points being put up on the board.
The Clippers got back to within eight points after Radmanovic drained a three- pointer with 7:28 to play to make it a 45-37 contest.
But, a 10-3 spurt enabled Phoenix to pull back to a 15 point lead when Bell hit a jumper with 5:21 left in the first half. Phoenix led 73-54 going into the locker room.
The Suns continued to roll in the third quarter and led by 31 points when Leandro Barbosa hit a jumper with 2:59 to play to make it a 98-67 game. Phoenix took a 100-71 lead into the final quarter.
Los Angeles never got close in the fourth.
"Obviously it was a disappointing night for us," said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. "We couldn’t make any of our shots and they made all of theirs. Our big guys didn’t do a good job of finishing around the basket."
