Bryant averaged 30.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game in guiding Los Angeles to a 10-6 record. The All-Star poured in 58 points, grabbed five boards and dished out four helpers in a 133-124 three-overtime loss to Charlotte on December 29 and scored 53 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists in a 112-101 two-overtime victory over Houston on December 15.
Arenas averaged a league-best 34.1 points, 6.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game as Washington posted a 12-4 record during the month, including a 6-1 mark at home. He netted a career-high 60 points in a 147-141 overtime win over the Lakers on December 17 and scored 54 points in a 144-139 overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns on December 22.
