In 39 games this season with Atlanta, the 14-year veteran averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 assists per contest. Anderson, though, has not seen the court since a loss to the Orlando Magic on February 10.
The Georgia Tech product was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the second overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft. He has also enjoyed stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Portland, Boston, Seattle, New Orleans and Indiana.
In 854 career games, Anderson, 34, has averaged 12.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest.
Meanwhile, the Clippers released guard Maurice Baker from his 10-day contract to make room for Anderson on the roster.
