Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 14 points for the Tigers (6-1), who have posted four consecutive victories since their only loss, a seven-point setback to a strong Georgia Tech squad.
Jeremy Hunt scored nine points and Joey Dorsey added seven points and 13 rebounds in the win.
Tre Whitted scored 14 points for the Herd (2-6), who were most recently in action on Saturday when they suffered a heart-breaking 84-78 overtime loss to Ohio University.
Mark Dorris scored eight points and Chris Ross and Robbie Jackson both added seven in defeat.
Memphis closed the first half on an 8-0 run sparked by a Hunt three-pointer with 1:28 left, and led 39-22 at halftime.
The Tigers took off on a 13-0 burst midway through the second half capped by a Dozier dunk with 10:16 remaining to take a commanding 59-34 lead.
Marshall made a run down the stretch, finishing the game on a 15-1 spurt ignited by a Ross layup with 3:03 left, but it was to little too late.
