(Basketball News) - Midwest Division rivals that are headed for the postseason meet tonight, as the Houston Rockets welcome the Dallas Mavericks to the Toyota Center in the final game of the regular season for both squads.
The Mavericks will be the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs and could play the Lakers, Kings or Spurs in the first round, depending on how the teams finish in the standings.
On Tuesday, Marquis Daniels poured in 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out seven assists to lead Dallas to a crucial 110-103 win over Memphis at American Airlines Center.
Steve Nash added 25 points and Antawn Jamison chipped in 18 in the victory for the Mavericks, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
The Mavs are just 15-25 on the road this season.
This is the fourth meeting of the season between the Mavs and Rockets. Dallas won twice at home, while Houston also won on its homecourt.
The Mavericks have won four of their last six at Houston.
