=== Dallas Mavericks Team Report - December 15 ===

(Basketball News) - The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Golden State Warriors, 111-107, on Tuesday at American Airlines Center.

Jerry Stackhouse scored a game-high 27 points for the Mavericks, who fell for the first time in three outings. Dirk Nowitzki finished with just 13 points in 41 minutes of action.

Dallas trailed 33-22 after the opening 12 minutes and then cut the deficit to six in the second quarter. With 4:09 left before the half, Marquis Daniels hit a pair from the stripe to make it a 47-41 affair, but the Mavericks still trailed 57-49 at the intermission.

Golden State increased its margin in the third en route to taking an 88-77 lead into the final 12 minutes. The Mavericks trailed 93-77 in the fourth, but they got within two on a few occasions. Courtesy of a 24-10 run capped off by a Michael Finley three-pointer, Dallas made it a 103-101 contest with 2:11 to play. Dallas also got to 107-105 with 18 seconds remaining, but Troy Murphy would seal the win for the Warriors with two free throws to push the lead to four.

Stackhouse has scored in double-digits in 17 of the 23 games that he has played in this season. He is averaging 14.4 points per game, which is third- best on the team.

The Mavericks are off until Saturday when they host Al Harrington and the Atlanta Hawks. Last season, the Hawks swept the two meetings between the clubs.
