(Basketball News) - The Mavericks registered a 97-87 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center on Tuesday night.
Dirk Nowitzki poured in a game-high 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace the Mavericks to the win. The Mavericks improved to 9-0 this season when Nowitzki scores 30 or more points.
Josh Howard added 13 points and 12 boards while Jerry Stackhouse scored 12 for the Mavericks, who have won three of their last four games. Alan Henderson posted 11 points and a game-best 15 rebounds while Erick Dampier had 11 points and 11 boards in the win.
Dallas won for only the second time in the last five meetings with Minnesota. The Mavericks also snapped a two-game slide in Minnesota.
Dallas head coach Don Nelson was ejected only 1:33 into the game for arguing calls.
The Mavericks have a day off before taking on the red hot Seattle SuperSonics at AmericanAirlines Center.
