|
(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets were blown out by the Los Angeles Lakers, 97-71, on Wednesday at the Staples Center.
Voshon Lenard and Andre Miller each had 15 points to lead the Nuggets, who have lost two of three. Rookie phenom Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points, but shot a dismal 4-of-17 from the field.
Denver has dropped four of six on the road and is 8-11 away from home this season.
Anthony has scored in double digits in 34 of the last 36 contests. He is averaging 38 minutes per night over the last four games.
The Nuggets are off until Friday when they host Steve Nash and the Dallas Mavericks. The teams have already met twice this season, as each club won on its homecourt.
