(Basketball News) - Chauncey Billups scored 18 points and dished out six assists to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 96-76 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday at Gund Arena.
Richard Hamilton finished with 14 points for the Pistons, who earned their eighth straight victory overall and their fifth straight on the road. Tayshaun Prince and Mehmet Okur both contributed 13 points.
Ben Wallace pulled down 10 rebounds for Detroit, which snapped a two-game losing streak against Cleveland and has won 11 of the last 15 meetings in the series. Detroit converted 20-of-22 free throws.
Detroit is in second place in the Central Division, five games behind the Indiana Pacers.
The Pistons are off until Tuesday when they visit Central Division rival New Orleans. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two squads. Detroit is 1-2 against the Hornets.
Billups has averaged 14.8 points and 7.3 assists in his last 10 games.
