(Basketball News) - The defending NBA champion Detroit Pistons continued to struggle on Saturday night, as they were handed a road loss by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Michael Redd scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Bucks to a 96-90 win at the Bradley Center.
Tayshaun Prince posted 20 points and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who have lost three of their last four games. Rasheed Wallace added 20 points and seven boards. Detroit also has lost five in a row on the road.
His team down 90-89, Redd posted four straight points. His free throws with 1:58 to play put Milwaukee ahead by one. Then he added a jumper in traffic 46 seconds later to make it 93-90 in Milwaukee’s favor.
Detroit missed a shot on its next possession. The Bucks missed two shots on their next offensive trip. But Van Horn’s hook shot, off an offensive rebound, put them ahead 95-90 with 9.8 seconds left.
Desmond Mason hit one of two foul shots with 1.5 seconds left to cap the scoring.
The Pistons will play the second test of a five-game road trip on Tuesday night in Houston.
