Diop placed on injured list

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - Cleveland Cavaliers forward/center DeSagana Diop was placed on the injured list Monday, less than one week after undergoing successful surgery on his right knee.

The procedure repaired a torn lateral meniscus. He is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.

In 16 games this season, Diop has averaged 2.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.

In a related move, the team activated center Bruno Sundov, who had been sidelined since late November with a wrist injury. In three games this season, Sundov is averaging 2.3 points.
