Garnett’s jumper lifts T-Wolves past Sixers in OT 01.5.2007

Garnett, who finished with 25 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, took the inbound pass with 3.3 seconds left, turned around and put up an easy 15-foot fadeaway over Samuel Dalembert for the win.
Trenton Hassell scored a career-high 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting while Mark Blount posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards for the Timberwolves, who have won three in a row.
Ricky Davis also poured in 16 points and Randy Foye had 11 and dished out 10 assists in defeat.
Kyle Korver netted 25 points on 9-of-18 from the field for the Sixers, who have dropped two straight to finish 2-5 on their seven-game road trip.
Andre Iguodala finished with 23 points and nine assists while Andre Miller donated 18 points with 11 helpers in defeat.
In the fourth quarter, Garnett drilled a jump shot to give the Timberwolves a 92-83 advantage with 5:05 to play, but Philadelphia responded with a clutch 13-4 spurt — led by Korver’s seven points — to knot the contest at 96 and send the game into overtime.
In the extra session, Garnett hit a jumper to put the Timberwolves up 102-100 with 1:02 left, but Dalembert’s alley-oop dunk tied it with 46 seconds remaining before Garnett’s game-winning shot.
Ollie’s lay-in put Philadelphia up by four with 30 seconds left in the first quarter, but Davis answered with a jumper for Minnesota to make it a 26-24 game.
The Sixers led by as many as six at 41-35 when Willie Green drained a layup with 6:06 left, however, Garnett’s layup cut the Timberwolves’ deficit to two at the 30-second mark. Iguodala then converted a pair of free throws to give Philadelphia a 52-48 halftime lead.
The game remained tight in a third quarter which featured five separate ties. It was Minnesota, though, outscoring the Sixers and evening the contest at 74 on Blount’s jumper with 48 seconds remaining.
