(Basketball News) - Houston dropped a 102-96 decision to the Sacramento Kings at ARCO Arena on Tuesday night.
The Kings have dominated Houston at home over the years, winning 11 consecutive contests. Houston hasn’t won in Sacramento since a 107-93 victory on March 28. 1999. The Rockets were able to snap a five-game series skid on November 6, as they posted a 104-101 overtime win at the Toyota Center.
Yao Ming tallied 29 points and nine boards for the Rockets, who fell for the first time in three games. Tracy McGrady recorded 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the losing effort.
Houston outshot the Kings 52 percent to 46 percent, but turned the ball over 18 times.
The Rockets have their next two days off before closing out their four-game road trip in Utah on Friday.
