(Basketball News) - Fred Jones scored 15 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 108-97 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday at Philips Arena.
Jamaal Tinsley finished with a season-high 29 points for the Pacers, who snapped a seven-game losing streak. Reggie Miller added 19 points in the win.
David Harrison chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana, which scored the initial 10 points in overtime to snap a 91-91 tie. Two free throws by Jones, with 1:18 to play, made it 101-91.
Indiana’s Austin Croshere (sprained ankle) missed the game. James Jones and Jeff Foster each added 10 points for the Pacers, who have won eight of the last 10 meetings against Atlanta.
Tinsley has averaged 15.2 points and a team-high 7.9 assists in the 16 games he has played in for the Pacers this season, while Fred Jones has scored in double-digits in four straight games and he is averaging 16 points and 4.3 rebounds in that span.
The Pacers are off until Friday when they host Jalen Rose and the struggling Toronto Raptors. Last season, Indiana won all four of its contests against the Raptors.
