Indiana Pacers Team Report - December 4 12.4.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Indiana Pacers will try to halt a three-game losing streak this evening, when they complete a four-game West Coast trip against the Golden State Warriors.
The Pacers fell to 0-3 on their swing with Friday’s 113-87 debacle in Sacramento. Chris Webber poured in a game-high 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Kings to the easy victory.
Jamaal Tinsley had 21 points and six assists for the struggling Pacers, who are feeling the effects of the numerous suspensions levied on them after the team’s involvement in the infamous brawl with Detroit fans on November 19.
The three-game losing streak is the team’s worst skid of the year. It marks the first time Indiana has dropped three in a row since another three-game losing stretch from April 8-13, 2003.
Tonight’s game marks the first meeting of the season between the Pacers and Warriors. Indiana won both matchups last year and has taken five of six and seven of the last 10 encounters. The Pacers have also won in two of three and five of their last seven trips to Oakland.
