Indiana Pacers Team Report - December 5 12.5.2004
|
(Basketball News) - Jason Richardson netted 14 of his 19 points in the second half to help the Golden State Warriors hold on to a 104-96 victory over the Indiana Pacers, spoiling Reggie Miller’s season debut at The Arena on Saturday.
Miller missed the first 15 games with a broken hand and sat out Friday’s loss in Sacramento to serve his one-game suspension for his role in the infamous melee in Detroit on November 19. Miller was in street clothes that night but was disciplined for leaving the bench during the fracas.
The time off didn’t affect his outside touch as Miller shot 8-of-12 for 23 points to lead the Pacers, who ended a disastrous West Coast trip at 0-4. Miller made 4-of-6 from three-point land, but the rest of the team was a dismal 1-for-13.
Austin Croshere had 19 points with 14 rebounds while Jamaal Tinsley posted 18 points and 11 assists before leaving the game with a mildly sprained ankle.
The Pacers will now return home for Tuesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
