Kings and Lakers meet at ARCO 12.16.2004

This is the second meeting of the season between the teams. On November 26th, Sacramento knocked off the Lakers, 109-106, at the Staples Center. Overall, the Kings have won two straight and four of the last five meetings in this series.The Lakers have lost three straight after winning their last two at Sacramento.
Sacramento comes into tonight’s game having won two straight. On Tuesday, Chris Webber drained a three-pointer from the top of the key as time expired in regulation, lifting the Kings to a dramatic 89-86 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.
Webber ended with 23 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the floor, while Mike Bibby poured in a game-high 27 points, falling one assist shy of a triple double. Bibby also grabbed 10 boards for the Kings, who finished 2-1 on their brief three-game road trip.
Peja Stojakovic chipped in 19 points in the win, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc. Sacramento has won seven of its last eight and 14 of its last 16 games overall.
The Kings shot 9-of-25 from beyond the arc in Tuesday’s victory. Brad Miller hauled down 11 rebounds to go along with six points for the Kings, who shot 10-of-10 from the foul line.
Webber has scored more than 20 points in three straight games. He is averaging 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists in that span.
Sacramento is an impressive 9-1 as the host this season. The Kings have won three straight at ARCO Arena.
On Tuesday, the Lakers lost to the Seattle SuperSonics, 108-93, at KeyArena Bryant netted 35 points with nine rebounds and five assists for the Lakers, who saw a brief two-game winning streak halted. Caron Butler contributed 16 points in the losing cause.
Bryant has averaged 26.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.8 assists in his last 10 games.
The Lakers are 4-6 on the road this season.
After tonight’s contest, the Lakers return home for a six-game homestand. The Lakers are scheduled to host the Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Hornets, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets on the stand.
