Kings finish road trip against Bucks

12.14.2004

Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings finish a three-game road trip tonight, as they visit All-Star Michael Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the teams. On November 21, the Kings knocked off the Bucks, 88-79, at ARCO Arena. Overall, Sacramento has won six of seven and seven of the last 11 contests. The Kings have won three straight and five of their last eight at Milwaukee.

The Kings are 1-1 on their current road swing. Sacramento has won six of seven and 13 of its last 15 games overall.

On Saturday, Brad Miller hit four foul shots in the final 10 seconds of overtime, as Sacramento defeated the Indiana Pacers, 97-92, at Conseco Fieldhouse. Miller finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Chris Webber ended with 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Saturday’s victory for the Kings, while point guard Mike Bibby contributed 21 points. Doug Christie and Peja Stojakovic both netted 12 in the win.

Sacramento is 5-5 on the road this season.

The struggling Bucks come into tonight’s game having lost five of seven and 11 of their last 14 overall. On Sunday, Milwaukee lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, 107-101, at the Wachovia Center. Redd led the Bucks with 28 points.

With 1:45 remaining, Marc Jackson scored off an offensive rebound to put Philadelphia ahead 100-98 and it led the rest of the way. Thirteen seconds later, Jackson made a free throw to push the edge to 101-98. Desmond Mason, who finished with 21 points, drained a pair from the stripe to cut the deficit to 101-100, but the Bucks could never draw even.

Milwaukee forward and former Sixer Keith Van Horn missed his fifth consecutive game on Sunday with right ankle tendinitis. He is questionable for tonight’s contest.

Redd has scored at least 20 points in 12 of the Milwaukee’s 18 games this season. He leads Milwaukee in scoring at 22.1 points per game.

The Bucks are 5-4 at home this season.
