11.29.2004

Salt Lake City, UT (Basketball News) - Utah Jazz starting forward Andrei Kirilenko could be sidelined for up to four weeks after an MRI exam revealed a sprained right knee.

Kirilenko suffered the injury during the first half of Saturday’s game against San Antonio.

The 23-year-old Kirilenko has started all 14 games this season for the Jazz and is second on the team in scoring (14.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.2 rpg). He also leads the NBA in blocked shots with 62.

Utah selected Kirilenko with the 24th overall pick of the 1999 NBA Draft. In 254 career games, he has posted averages of 13.1 points, 6.1 boards and 2.41 blocks per outing.
