Knicks acquire Taylor from Rockets, Rose from Spurs 02.24.2005

Taylor, who is currently on the injured list with the flu, is averaging 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 38 games this season for the Rockets. The six-year NBA veteran came into this season with career averages of 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds.
Baker and Norris have seen limited action with New York this season. Norris averaged 2.6 points and 1.1 assists in 32 bench appearances, while Baker averaged 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 24 games this season.
Rose averaged 6.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 50 games for the Spurs this season. He was a member of the 1999 and 2003 NBA Championship teams in San Antonio.
The draft picks acquired are San Antonio’s 2006 conditional first-round selection and Phoenix’s conditional 2005 first-round selection originally acquired by the Spurs on June 26, 2003 (in exchange for the draft rights to Leandro Barbosa).
Mohammed has played in 54 games with the Knicks this season and is averaging 10.9 points and 8.1 rebounds. Brewer has spent most of the year on the injured list, but has played in 18 games.
Brewer averaged 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 13 appearances for the Knicks this season.
The Knicks are sending $5.5 million in future salaries to the Spurs in the deal in exchange for the four years and $27.3 million remaining on Rose’s contract.
In the Houston deal, New York sent $8 million in contracts to the Rockets in exchange for $18 million.
