Bryant missed the previous seven contests after he suffered a laceration on his right index finger. He sustained the injury while he was trying to move some boxes which were in storage in his garage. He accidentally put his hand through a glass window and needed several stitches to close the wound.
Bryant started the game and played 36 minutes, finishing 4-for-5 from three- point range and 4-for-7 from the field overall. He also made both of his free throw attempts and collected three assists.
The 25-year-old Bryant was also sidelined for six games earlier this year due to a sprained right shoulder. In 35 contests this season, he is averaging a team- high 21.7 points to go along with 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per outing.
Bryant was named a Western Conference starter for the 53rd NBA All-Star Game, which will take place at Staples Center on Sunday, February 15.
To make room on the roster, the club placed center Jamal Sampson on the injured list with a sprained ankle.
