Bryant, who was placed on the injured list, sustained the injury while he was trying to move some boxes which were in storage in his garage. He accidentally put his hand through a glass window and needed 9-to-10 stitches to close the wound.
The 25-year-old Bryant, who missed six games earlier this month due to a sprained right shoulder, will not travel with the Lakers to Toronto or Indianapolis. However, he is expected to meet the club in Cleveland and will be re-evaluated at that time.
Bryant was named a Western Conference starter for the 53rd NBA All-Star Game, which will take place at Staples Center on Sunday, February 15. In 35 games this season, he is averaging a team-high 21.7 points to go along with 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest.
