LeBron, Cavs visit City of Brotherly Love

Cleveland is currently fifth in the East standings, just a half game behind the second-seeded Chicago Bulls, and has won two straight and three of its last four games.

In Saturday’s 110-76 rout of the Atlanta Hawks, LeBron James led the way with 23 points, six assists and five rebounds. Alksander Pavlovic added 15 points and six assists and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 14 points and 11 boards for Cleveland, which needs to win out and have Chicago lose to New Jersey on Wednesday in order to clinch the second seed in the conference.

The Bulls own the tiebreaker with the Cavs and will secure the second seed if the two teams finish the regular season tied.

Cleveland, which is 19-21 on the road this season, will close out the regular season on Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks at Quicken Loans Arena.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia has won four of its last five games and posted a 102-91 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Willie Green scored 26 points and dished out seven assists and Steven Hunter recorded 16 points and eight boards for the Sixers, who were eliminated from playoff contention after losing 104-87 to Orlando on Saturday. Philadelphia has missed the playoffs three of the last four years.

Bobby Jones and Joe Smith finished with 13 points apiece for the Sixers, while Andre Miller chipped in 12 points and nine assists. Kyle Korver (wrist), Andre Iguodala (back) and Kevin Ollie (eye) did not travel with the team. They are all expected to miss the rest of the season.

The Sixers are 13-27 on the road this season and will close out the 2006-07 campaign on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. They are 21-19 at home in 2006-07.

Tuesday’s game between Cleveland and Philly is the fourth and final meeting of the season. The Cavs are 2-1 in the series, but the Sixers have won seven of the last 11 matchups.

Cleveland has lost four of six and 13 of its last 16 at Philadelphia.
