(Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Clippers saw their losing streak hit six games on Thursday with a 103-94 loss to the Washington Wizards at the Staples Center.
Corey Maggette shook off a sore shoulder to pace the Clippers with 25 points. Elton Brand chipped in 18 points and eight boards, as Los Angeles lost for the 10th time in its last 11 games.
The Clippers have allowed at least 100 points in a game 36 times this season and are just 8-28 in those contests.
On the injury front, Quentin Richardson missed last night’s loss because of back spasms, while Chris Wilcox sat out his seventh straight contest with an Achilles’ injury..
At 27-46, the Clippers have already secured their 11th straight losing season, which is four short of the NBA record set by Kansas City, which moved to Sacramento before that streak ended.
Los Angeles, which will close its brief two-game homestand on Saturday against Minnesota, has dropped four straight and seven of its last eight at home and is 18-18 in its arena this season.
The Clippers have dropped all three meetings with the T-Wolves this season and have lost six straight, seven of eight and eight of the last 10 matchups in the series. LA, though, has won four of its last seven at home against Minnesota.
