Lucious Harris cut by Cavs

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Thursday that the club has waived veteran guard Lucious Harris.

Harris was signed by the Cavs as a free agent last offseason and averaged 4.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 15.5 minutes over 73 games in 2004-05.

The 34-year-old Harris spent the previous seven seasons of his 12-year NBA career with New Jersey and helped the Nets to back-to-back Eastern Conference titles in 2002 and 2003. He averaged a career-best 10.3 points per game for New Jersey during the 2002-03 campaign.

In 800 career games with Dallas, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Cleveland, Harris has averaged 7.2 points and 19.6 minutes per outing.
