(Basketball News) - Pau Gasol scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Memphis Grizzlies over Washington, 92-77, on Friday at the Pyramid.
James Posey added 15 points and Mike Miller scored 13 for the Grizzlies, who have won four in a row.
Newly-acquired Bonzi Wells came off the bench in his Memphis debut and chipped in 12 points over 27 minutes as Memphis built a 20-point halftime lead and never looked back.
The Grizzlies vaulted to a 20-point lead by halftime and carried a 68-52 advantage into the fourth quarter.
The closest Washington came was 76-69 when Steve Blake drained a three-pointer with 5:18 remaining on the clock. But the Grizzlies followed that with five straight points to go back ahead by double digits, and the outcome was never in question.
Memphis, which is 4-3 at home this season, will continue their three-game homestand on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
