=== Miami Heat Team Report - March 21 ===

(Basketball News) - Miami has ripped off four consecutive wins and victories in seven of its last eight contests.

The Heat have climbed into sixth place alone in the Eastern Conference, a half game ahead of New York and Cleveland. Miami also sits just 2 1/2 contests back of fifth place Milwaukee.

The Heat continued their hot streak Saturday afternoon, as they ran roughshod over the Philadelphia 76ers in a 101-69 win at AmericanAirlines Arena. Dwyane Wade and Eddie Jones each scored 17 points in the winning effort.

Wade also handed out eight assists, while Lamar Odom contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds for Miami, which has won 11 of its last 16. The Heat outscored the 76ers, 30-10, in the fourth quarter.

Rafer Alston finished with 12 points and extended his franchise record by making a three-pointer for the 35th consecutive game. Udonis Haslem chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat, who outrebounded Philadelphia 54-34.

The Heat improved to 24-12 at home and have captured their last seven contests as the host. It has been a much different story for Miami on the road, as it is just 8-25 in foreign buildings.

Miami will try to change its luck in foreign buildings this afternoon, when it battles the Washington Wizards at MCI Center.

Miami is going for a season sweep of this series, as it has won the first three contests between the clubs. The Heat posted a 92-84 win over the Wizards at the MCI Center on December 26. Miami has won eight of 11 and 11 of its last 15 trips to D.C..
