(Basketball News) - Dwyane Wade racked up 31 points and 11 assists, while Udonis Haslem scored a career-high 21 points, to lead the Miami Heat to a 99-93 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday in a Southeast Division battle at Philips Arena.
Shaquille O’Neal made 8-of-10 field-goal attempts in a 20-point, nine-rebound performance to help the Heat to its fourth win in five games.
Miami moved to 8-0 against Eastern Conference foes this season. The Heat has won four straight against Atlanta, with the all-time series tied at 30-30.
Wade has scored 20 or more points in nine of the 11 games that he has played in this season. He is averaging team-highs in points (25.9 ppg) and assists (7.7 apg).
The Heat are off until Friday when they visit the Detroit Pistons. It will be the first meeting for Shaq with Detroit since the Pistons beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2004 NBA Finals.
