Toronto’s Anthony Parker a classic glue-guy, details on Boston’s televised scrimmage, uncertainty hangs over Golden State, and retro Lakers stuff...

October 05 08
The Line-up for October 6th has the best blog posts anywhere ...

  • Matt of Detroit Bad Boys has info on Amir Johnson starting at the five-spot for the pre-season. I like this move. Johnson provides energy, while ’vet’ Antonio McDyess and Rodney Stuckey give the Pistons a pick-and-roll combo off the bench.
  • WarriorsWorld.com describes the uncertain mood at Golden State’s media day. The scribes, like the general public, have no clue on this team. Their best player, Monta Ellis, injured himself on a moped and lied about it. Management and ownership can’t agree on his punishment. And nobody knows how long is he out. Still, never count out a Don Nelson squad.
  • The Hoop Doctors talk J-Williams. Myself, I loved White Chocolate’s flash. Hopefully, fans also recognize his high assist-to-turnover ratio and work as the starting point guard on the 2006 World Champion Miami Heat, too.
  • Lots of great stuff from the HoopsVibe family. So lets get it going:
  • He is bold. He is brash. He speaks his mind. I love it. John Nguyen’s latest looks at the Ben Gordon saga. ’JN’ also provides some interesting facts on Chicago owner Jerry Reinsdorf (took me back to Sam Smith’s Jordan Rules). Bookmark Flagrant Foul and check-in regularly. One more thing: his blog, his choice not to put up a picture.
  • Who knew one simple WNBA update could cause such a stir? Well, our own Chris Sells caused it with this. For more of Sells’ superb work check out Overdribbling.

While you all have been "trying" to insult me. I just got a writing gig with a better website. Insidehoops.com, so kiss my azz haters, we’ll see who the better blogger is. I can no doubt put my writing where my mouth is, busters .

SYGU: Insanity is repeating the same behaviour and expecting a different result. You claim to hate my work, yet you continue to read everything I write. And, to top it off, you leave nasty, unsubstantiated (that means full of crap) comments. So you are, according to clinical psychology, INSANE. You are also a stalker because, instead of finding another writer or hobby that will fulfill your life or that you would enjoy reading (if you can read) you prefer bashing me and other HV writers. Stalker. Say it with me. Now repeat slowly as it is more than one syllable. Finally SYGU having balls means tolerating morons (you) as much as possible until the situation becomes intolerable. Then stepping up and dealing with them. Like this. Then moving on. Your two seconds are done. Go elsewhere and, if you are lucky, you will become a hooked on ’fonix’ success story. .

SYGU, get your hand off it. Yeah, you obviously could be a GREAT blogger, what with your outstanding punctuation and insight to everything on the site. You think you would have the best blog? Sounds like a challenge to me \1 .

Actually the sign of a professional blogger is someone who connects to other blogs or forms of electronic media. In other words, just like this! Like his work or not, I’ve read Mr. Sandor’s work when linked to other blogs and many forms of electronic media. I’ve even stumbled upon His best facial piece when linked to Hot Mustard, which I believe ’Step Yo Game Up is referring to. So that piece probably had lots of success. The strong results are there! So deal with it. .

SYGU: Feel free to submit an article to me at cy.ellis@hoopsvibe.com. If it’s passable, I’ll publish it and we’ll see if the people agree.

Don’t worry about the haters Oly, if you didn’t have quality topics, I’m sure people wouldn’t be reading and leaving comments pretaining to the subject. Shout to all the writers at HoopsVibe keep up the good work. Stats don’t lie and rankings show HoopsVibe is one of the best on the internet, peace out your former teammate .

Someone woke up this morning and grew balls. Now only if you could write an original unlinked blog, that has flavor to it, not who got dunked on the worst. Or the same article about whos better Kobe or Lebron. Oh how about Baron on jenny craig. Shall I keep going with these weak a-------topics. You call yourself a basketball analyst but, your material is weak. I hope you teach better than you write about basketball. If HoopsVibe gave me a job, I would have the best blog no doubt. Peace out Bare Bones Sandor .

Actually, they do have substance. I just don’t spell things in crayon for simpletins like you. I make references, which I expect a half-wit to understand. But I guess it went over your head. And I’m not being tough at all. I’m responding to your years of cryptic BS messages on everything with no evidence as support. All that is left is STEP YO GAME UP. Gee, great. Can you provide details at the time? No, you can’t! You just continue bashing with nothing as support. No evidence, nothing. You just agree with other people in as few syllables as possible or leave ’A STEP Yo Game UP’ ... Wow, thanks for such an enlightening response. Go elsewhere if you don’t like my work. You have never had anything original to contribute. You never put anything out there. And I can see that reading my "bare-bones blogging" is straining what few brain cells you ever had. So go elsewhere or come back when you are prepared to have meaningful discussion, okay tough guy? Oh and if you are thinking of responding, don’t because I have your response right here: it will be along the lines of "Step Yo Game Up." Right, that’s what you are going to put or I agree with that guy’s comments. No thought on your own and nothing original to say EVER. Just a straight negative clown! Again, not my choice to finallybe firm, but your off-side and have been for a while! .

Step Yo Game Up: step your knowledge up before commenting. This is what is called a Link piece. Other writers link their work to HoopsVibe, we in turn link their work to our site. The point is to exchange ideas and give our audience a look at other fine writers. If you don’t like it, fine. Step your game up elsewhere, because I’m going to continue to support authors on hoopsvibe and elsewhere. The point isn’t to write a feature piece, but to quickly feature their ideas and expose you to them. And vice versa. Clear? Do you understand? So STEP YOUR KNOWLEDGE UP. If you don’t like it fine. Your choice But don’t say I’m barebone blogging it or half-assing it because the point is to feature or highlight their ideas. ANd I also think intelligent readers, not you, may have interest in the inside look at their work. For example, nobody but Warriors World had an inside look at the mood of Golden State’s media day. They were there when the uncomfortable topic of Ellis’ injury was mentioned. Click the link. Read about it. It is great work. Get caught up on another awesome site. At the top of the page it even says HoopsVibe has the best blog posts anywhere. This is a clear warning that this is a link piece! I don’t normally respond like this. And I don’t like to. But your comments are ignorant and fool hardy. Step yo game up before commenting in future. You are the one who is behind, not us (HoopsVibe) or me! .
