76ers limp into Washington

11.11.2003

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Philadelphia will be without forwards Glenn Robinson and Kenny Thomas on Tuesday, when the Sixers travel to the MCI Center for a showdown with Washington.

Robinson, who was acquired in an off-season deal, is hampered with a sprained left ankle. The "Big Dog" is averaging 15.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in four games this season. He is expected to be replaced by either Aaron McKie or John Salmons.

Thomas has a bruised lower back and is experiencing tightness along the right side of his body. Thomas is averaging 13.2 points and 7.5 boards through six games. Marc Jackson is expected to start for Thomas against the Wizards.

Meanwhile, forward Derrick Coleman has a strained left knee and will be a game-time decision. The former top pick is averaging 9.4 points and 6.0 rebounds in seven games this year.

Philadelphia won all four meetings against the Wizards last season.
